The remit of the Council for Media Services also includes initiating and conducting research and analytical activities in the sphere of media for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating the state of the media environment, in particular with regard to

• cyberbullying,

• media literacy,

The new competence of the Council for Media Services, which arises from the Media Services Act about media literacy, is to initiate, examine and analyse the media environment concerning media literacy and initiate and carry out activities to promote it.

The role of a media regulator is to safeguard democratic values and ensure a fair and transparent environment for the media and public discourse.
