The Slovak Council for Media Services has monitored selected VLOPs (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) to detect potential violations of the terms of service ("ToS") regarding the Slovak presidential elections of 2024.
The study encompasses:
A summary of observed disinformation narratives on the monitored VLOPs in relation to the Slovak presidential elections of 2024.
Analysis of observed content in terms of potential violations of VLOPs' ToS.
VLOPs' assessment of content reported by CMS.
A brief overview of trends regarding VLOPs' moderation of problematic content during the election campaign period, based on CMS's findings from monitoring activities during the Elections to the National Council of the Slovak Republic in September 2023 and the Slovak presidential elections in March/April 2024.
