Decision on preventing the dissemination of illegal content

If it is proven in the proceedings on preventing illegal content that the content in question constitutes illegal content and at the same time its dissemination endangers the public interest or constitutes a significant interference with the individual rights or legitimate interests of a person within the scope of the legal order of the Slovak Republic, the Council for media services shall issue a decision on preventing the dissemination of illegal content, by which it shall order the provider of a content sharing platform or the provider of a content service not requiring authorisation under the Act No. 264/2022 Coll. on media services to remove the illegal content in question and prevent its further dissemination.

Anyone who feels that their rights have been affected by the decision on preventing the dissemination of illegal content, may lodge an objection to the decision within ten days from the date of delivery of the decision; the lodging of an objection shall not have suspensive effect and shall not be subject to the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Code.

On 14 August 2024, the Council for Media Services delivered to the participant TWITTER INTERNATIONAL UNLIMITED COMPANY the decision of 24 April 2024, no. RNO/1/2024.
