European Union member states are required to support the development of media literacy and to regularly inform the European Commission about the measures they have taken. For Slovakia, this report is prepared and submitted by the Council for Media Services in accordance with the guidelines of the European Commission. The report covers the period from November 2022 to October 2025 and provides an overview of the steps taken during this time to support media literacy in Slovakia.
It includes information on legislative and organizational measures, public and other funding, as well as a description of activities aimed at raising awareness and involving actors active in this field. The report also includes an overview of the distribution of tasks and forms of cooperation between public authorities, the non-profit sector, academic institutions, and market participants during the period under review.
